Many rumors broke out about Kris
nullifying his contract with Sment. Many were shocked. Others didn't believe
it. Yes, it's a complete rumor that time until it was confirmed. Seoul Central
Court has said that a lawsuit was filed. The lawyer who'll represent Kris is
also the same who handled the case of Super Junior's Hangeng. An article from
allkpop.com says "As they believe that SM is restricting Kris from
his basic human right to freedom and his choices career wise, the contract
should be nullified." SMent responded that they are as well shocked but
they'll do their best so that EXO's activities will go on smoothly.
This shocking news became viral all over the internet. It became a trend in many social networking sites. #WeBeliveInYouKris became a worldwide trend in twitter despite the spelling error. Fans said that "Without 'E' in Believe is like Kris without EXO" International fans became one with this hoping that this trend will reach Kris and help him come back. Even other fandoms joined in despite the fact that EXOstans are known to be the worst fandom. An ELF (Super Junior Fandom) said "Though siblings usually fight, we're still here to help you." Even VIP's gave encouraging words to the EXOstans. Indeed, true kpop fans would always be there in times of trouble.
#SMentWorstCompanyInKorea also became a trend. Many people cursed and bashed the company saying that Kim Youngmin should go down the position of CEO and Lee Sooman should replace him. Many rumors spread like the posts of EXO in Weibo/IG are controlled by the staff and not the EXO members itself. Even what Suho said in the interview in M!Countdown was believed to be scripted. Some also believe that the staff confiscated the phones of EXO and unfollowed Kris in IG. Baekhyun was the only member who still follows Kris in IG that time. They also said that Baekhyun was slapped because of hiding his phone just to not let the staff control his account. Suho was kicked, D.Ogot bruises, Luhan and Xiumin crying also spread out. Fans even begged YGEnt to adopt EXO and redebut them that to be treated like dolls and robots in SMent.
Many rumors are still all over the internet. But the netizens shouldn't believe those easily. Some might be a fact but you can't differentiate them with the rumors. All the netizens should do is wait for an official announcement and hope for the best.
